Adventure Play Date
The first play date was over at Mamma Jo's house with Aidan and Brinn. Braydon was so excited about going and kept talking about his "new friends". The excitement stopped and his shyness kicked in at the front door. So for about thirty minutes there wasn't much interaction, just Aidan pulling out every single toy for them to play with. Too sweet! Caleb did find the piano, and they both banged on that for a little bit, but then the real fun started...
Aidan pulled out a fly swatter and was chasing the flies around the house. That's how they bonded....and yes, there's an actual fly squashed.
Adventure Inflatable Wonderland
My first week nannying we all went to Inflatable Wonderland, and if you've never heard of it, you're missing out. At first Braydon (who is two and a half) didn't want to do anything but play with the toy cars. Caleb (who just turned one) was happy as a clam playing on the mats. I was a little dissapointed at first, but soon realized they were having a blast. However, after another little boy starting playing on the bouncy slides, Braydon decided it wasn't so bad. They had so much fun, and so did I! We're definately going back.

The Nanny Blogs
So as of a couple weeks ago I was able to quit my job at the preschool and have two whole weeks OFF! I was supposed to go back to Georgia for at least one, but we had some unexpected bills pop up. (Being a grown up isn't all it's cracked up to be) Anyhow the two weeks was a great breather. I was able to catch up on let's see, EVERYTHING! But all good things must come to an end....
Not this time though! This past week I started nannying for two of the boys from the preschool, and I absolutely love it! Braydon is the oldest at two and a half, then there's Caleb who will be one in a couple weeks. They're going places, so keep posted for our adventures!

Honeymoon
For our honeymoon we were fortunate enough to be able to go on a seven day cruise! We weren't too fond of the idea at first, but then a few close friends really sold us on the idea. Our cruise took us to Montego Jamaica, The Grand Cayman Islands, and Cozumel Mexico.
That Getaway:
Our getaway wasn't really a true getaway. After leaving the reception we drove the three minutes to our apartment, and realized that I didn't have my purse. So my mother and sister drove our to drop it off...thanks mom... THEN we found that we didn't have our marriage lisence for the cruise. See, since I'm only 20 and Nic was only 24, legally we couldn't be in the same room, unless we had our marriage lisence. Great.... Anyhow, after a few phone calls and huffing and puffing we were able to secure the marriage lisence. Phew...
Boarding:
The next morning we found ourselves in Galveston, Texas staring at the huge carnival ship debating whether it was as big as it was on T.V. (It was) The weather was pretty dreary dreary, but nothing could bring us down. We arrived a little early so we were able to go through all of the check points fairly fast, and guess what We didn't even need the darn marriage lisence. Oh well. So after getting our picture taken we started the long climb to board the enormous ship, and soon found ourselves three stories high in a glass ramp connecting us to the boat. When we were within five feet of the boat, one of the workers asked the elderly lady to back off of the bridge, first calm, then a little panicky. Then we heard snapping sounds. The worker then started yelling "Everyone get back!....Ladies and Gentlemen you have to get off the ramp now!"
The boat had started to move forward and was dragging the boarding ramp with it! People started screaming and were pushing to get back to the building. Nic and I were towards the front of the line, which meant that we were in the back to get back to safety. The floor literally started seperating and we could see the wet concrete three stories below us. When we finally made it back to the building all the older people were panting and the younger crowd was crying. Nic was one of the last ones to get off, either I just left him or he was trying to be heroic.
Anyhow, about thirty minutes later they let people start boarding again, but only ten at a time now. We made it safely on, and were lucky enough to enjoy the rest of our honeymoon : )

Tying the Knot (Words Included)
Just to let everyone know, more than three hours went into this blog...I haven't decided if its just sheer dedication or idiocracy. On the other side, I don't think anyone knows how good it feels to get it done! Even though its just pictures, its a great accomplishment.
Now onto the wedding:
Our wedding wasn't set until four o'clock on that friday afternoon at the San Antonio Temple. The morning was full of jitters and dazes, everything just felt like a dream. (Its been the only day of my entire life, that I didn't feel like eating or drinking) Nic and I had agreed that we would not see eachother at all that day previous to the wedding. Well, Hobby Lobby had other plans... Out of six or seven Hobby Lobbies in San Antonio, we both ended up at the same one, at the same time. Bad luck?
I think not! The wedding ceremony was wonderful, the reception was BEAUTIFUL and the people were incredible. I think it's safe to say that we're both pretty happy that we decided to
tie the knot, most days ; ). It's the most incredible feeling to be able to wake up to my best friend every morning.

Some Serious Catch Up
So it's been six months since my last update...oops. What can I say I'm a busy girl being a newlywed and all. I don't have pictures for this particular post, but they're soon to come! I'll just say that the wedding was absolutely wonderful, and so was the honeymoon. Thanksgiving and Christmas were just as great! Pretty much, life is good.
